📿 Myths vs Reality

History

What they say

Aryans invaded India from Central Asia around 1500 BCE and brought Vedic civilization.

The Truth

The Aryan Invasion Theory is a colonial fabrication with ZERO archaeological evidence. The Saraswati River civilization (now proven by satellite imagery and ground surveys) dates back to 7000 BCE. The Rigveda describes Saraswati as a mighty flowing river — it dried up by 2000 BCE, proving the Vedas are far older than 1500 BCE.

इमं मे गङ्गे यमुने सरस्वति शुतुद्रि स्तोमं सचता परुष्ण्या

“O Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati, Shutudri, Parushni — listen to my praise.”

— Rigveda 10.75.5

Max Müller, who proposed 1500 BCE date, later admitted he was wrong. The Rigveda mentions Saraswati as 'the best of rivers, flowing from mountain to sea' — satellite imagery confirms this was true before 2000 BCE. DNA studies (2019, Cell journal) show no significant Central Asian migration into India. The 'Aryan' word comes from Sanskrit 'Arya' meaning noble — it's not a race.

Social System

What they say

Hinduism oppressed women and denied them education.

The Truth

Vedic women were scholars, rishis, and teachers. Gargi debated Yajnavalkya in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad. Maitreyi chose knowledge over wealth. Lopamudra composed Rigvedic hymns. The decline came during Islamic invasions when women needed protection from abduction.

या ब्रह्मणं विदधाति पूर्वं या वै वेदांश्च प्रहिणोति तस्मै

“She who first created Brahma and delivered the Vedas to him.”

— Devi Sukta, Rigveda 10.125

Rigveda has 30+ women rishis (Gargi, Lopamudra, Apala, Ghosha, Romasha, Vishvavara). Women participated in sabhas (assemblies), owned property, and chose their husbands (swayamvara). The Manusmriti (3.56) says 'Where women are honored, there the gods rejoice.' The restriction of women came during foreign invasions, not from Hindu scriptures.
